My Ancestral Poem

   My ancestral poem

This poem is about my ancestors,

I am a Maori/Cook Island son,
Strong, helpful, intelligent are words that describe who I am.

I am grateful for my ancestors,
because my Great Great Grandfather was
a Maori Chief of his tribe.
Well I can’t describe him because I didn't get to meet him. I know that he was a brilliant and prideful warrior.
My Maori is the part of the worthy, prideful and fighting
warrior.
The Cook Island is peace and calmness
and that is the best,
I know that  I am making my ancestors  happy
with pride and love.
My ancestors make myself be calm
and it is like being happy up above,
How I feel is grateful and loving,
That's what I mostly care about.

My ancestors live in me and move within me
and that feels like my holy spirit.
My ancestors are my great family and they lived years ago by then they never had any electronics but my ancestors want me to be an example to others.
I take my ancestors with me wherever
I go and they will help me.
My ancestors will always teach me from
Right and wrong.
My ancestors can make me choose the right paths

Well done Kamaka. You have worked hard to write a poem about your ancestors. You have used good descriptive language to describe what your ancestors mean to you.

Next time remember to follow the framework provided to help you during the process of writing. Keep up the good thinking!
